The Emilianense Beatus

Also known as the First Beatus, as it is the oldest of all the preserved Beati, and the one that is the closest to the original prototype that is now lost.

It remained in the monastery of San Millan de la Cogolla between the 12th and 19th centuries, hence its attribution to this monastery and thus its name.

Latin. Visigothic minuscule script.

This is one of the most widely read and used Beati, as is attested to by its delicate state of preservation. Of its over 60 original miniatures, only 29 remain today.

300 pages measuring 250 x 350 mm. Handmade binding in aged parchment and bronze fittings. Accompanied by a study book and preservation box.

Limited edition of 898 numbered copies with notarial certificate.
