Precious codex on very fine vellum and preserved in Burgos Cathedral.
This condex stands out for its splendid miniatures. The artist is a consummate colourist and both the composition and the backgrounds denote Flemish technique and a rare luminosity, characteristic of the best books of hours.
Humanistic bookplate lettering.
The rule of 1494 must have had a certain educational purpose.
Its reform was approved by Bishop Luis de Acuña, whose portrait and coat of arms stand out in the ornamentation.
Page size 216 x 307 mm. Leather binding with old-style fastenings and fittings.
